This was an uncle that I adored, a man who was very special.He was my dad's younger brother by 22 months. He was married to Ivy who was a professional seamstress and sample hand in the West End,they never had any children of their own one of their biggest regrets in their life and therefore nobody to actually put them on this site.He was born Sidney Bond but after his father was killed in the first world war, his mum married again to a man called Bill Hayes and Sid took his name. I have read of so many various tributes covering all ages and all decades. Being their only niece who knew what a truly lovely couple they were I felt that I should put them on so that they will be remembered.Sid sat in the chair while Ivy went to make him a cup of tea when she came back she found him dead in the chair, a heart attack, two days before his 65th.birthday. Birthday cards were still arriving after he had died.It was a terrible shock.The emphysema which he had suffered with for years finally put so much strain on his heart that it couldn't cope.
I hope you will find the time to light a candle for them both. Aunt Ivy died 18 years after uncle Sid, sadly she had alzheimer's and didn't know anyone.

"Heaven's Precious Angel"
I have faith that you have now gone to a better place,
and been given eternal life, by the hand of God's grace.
But I find it heartbreaking to no longer have you here,
although I know in my heart, you'll always be very near.
God knew the time had come to call you back home;
your body was tired, and couldn't function on it's own.
He called you back home again to make you whole,
but He left me the precious gift, of your beautiful soul.
His Angels took you away peacefully without any pain;
a true blessing we all received, in God's loving name.
When your time arrived and you could no longer stay,
God gave us the time, for the words we needed to say.
Difficult to accept that it was time for us to say goodbye,
and my heart aches deeply, along with all the tears I cry.
Yet I know God opened His arms to welcome you home,
and as my precious Angel in Heaven, I'll never be alone.
